Feel Safe In The All-New 2015 Hyundai Genesis

http://www.autoweek.com/galleryimage/CW/20131126/CARREVIEWS/112609997/PH/0/1/2015-Hyundai-Genesis-Sedan.jpg

Hyundai’s latest Genesis sedan has become the first and only rear-wheel drive luxury sedan to be awarded an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating when equipped with optional front crash prevention. The 2015 Genesis sedan was also the first rear-wheel drive luxury sedan to earn a “Good” rating in the small overlap crash test.

The all-new 2015 Genesis features new sensory surround safety technology including a Hyundai first, automatic emergency braking (AEB). It uses sensor fusion technology to help avoid a potential collision or reduce its impact. In addition, the sedan combines available lane departure warning (LDW) with lane keep assist (LKA) to provide a driver-adjustable level of steering assist, helping to prevent inadvertent lane departure.

“The TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation recognizes state-of-the-art safety,” said IIHS president, Adrian Lund. “The new Genesis is not only engineered to protect people when crashes happen, but with its optional automatic emergency braking system rated superior in our tests, this car can help drivers avoid some of the most common kinds of collisions altogether.”

What Comes Next For The Pioneers At Jeep

http://files.coloribus.com/files/adsarchive/part_1500/15000605/file/jeep-grill-compass-small-35949.jpg

There are two all-new vehicles coming from the Jeep brand. A C-segment SUV that will replace the Patriot and Compass is coming in 2016 when both of those vehicles are retired, and an all new seven-seat SUV known as the Grand Wagoneer will arrive in the 2018 model year.

That C-segment SUV will likely be built in Italy alongside the new Fiat 500X, with styling inspired by the Wrangler. As for the Grand Wagoneer, it will likely share many of its traits with the Grand Cherokee, though it will have a third row of seats.

Speaking of the Wrangler, those waiting for a new model will have to hold tight until the 2017 model year, with no refreshes scheduled until the new model is revealed. Rumor has it that the Wrangler is going to ditch its solid axles in favor of independent suspension all around, in an attempt to make the vehicle more fuel efficient. A diesel engine also looks like a strong possibility for the Wrangler, also helping to save fuel.

An all-new Grand Cherokee is also coming in 2017, with a refresh slated for 2015. The fate of the SRT Grand Cherokee is unknown right now, as SRT has been folded and now exists only under the Dodge brand.

Refreshes are also already planned for both the Cherokee and Renegade, in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Jeep has already doubled its sales from 338,000 units in 2009 to more than 732,000 last year, and Jeep Boss Mike Manley says that he expects over 1 million Jeeps to sell this year.

They See Me Rollin'

We have TIRES! We carry all makes, all models, all sizes! Click here to make an appointment with our service center or call 877-262-3223!

Here are 5 signs you need some new wheels:

1) Tread Depth: Take a Lincoln-head penny, the kind you find in your change every day, and insert Abe's head (head-down) into the tread. If Lincoln's entire head remains visible, you don't have enough tread.

2) Tread Wear Indicator Bar: Newer tires have tread wear indicator bars built into the tires themselves. These bars, invisible or barely visible when the tires are new, gradually begin to appear as the tread wears down. They appear as flat rubber bars running perpendicular to the direction of the tread itself. If more than one or two of these are visible on a tire, the tread is getting low.

3) Cracks in the Sidewall:  Look for tracks or cuts in the sidewall -- grooves that are distinct enough to be visible to the naked eye. This could be a sign that your tire is developing a leak (or worse, that it's nearly ready to blow out).

4) Bulges & Blisters:  Sometimes the outer surface of the tire begins to weaken. The result can be a bulge or blister that extends outward from the rest of the surface. This weak spot can cause a sudden blow out.

5) Too Much Vibration: If your car has a bad case of the shimmy-shimmy shakes, especially if you notice this when you aren't driving on bad roads, bring it to our service center right away to have it checked out. Too much vibration is almost always a sign that something is wrong.
