"My old Mazda was on its last legs, so I went to Sport Durst Mazda (among a few other dealers and brands) to try out the Mazda 3 five door hatchback. I had a great experience working with Joe McKenna right from the start and throughout the entire process. Joe listened to what I wanted and helped me find the right model to test drive. This was important since I wanted a manual transmission, and most of the dealers I visited were perplexed by this. I was impressed by the low pressure sales style, Joe let the Mazda do its own sales pitch. He even made it very easy for me to borrow the car for an overnight test drive, and came in on his day off to finish the sale when I decided to buy. John Fletcher was great when it was time to finalize the sale and get my new car. He took just about the right amount of time to show me some of the features I was unfamiliar with (e.g. bluetooth phone connection, which I've never had before). Overall it was a great experience. MAZDA AND MAZDA FOUNDATION TOGETHER DONATE $50,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS FOR MOORE, OKLAHOMA, RELIEF EFFORTS



Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced a $25,000 contribution to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for victims of the recent Moore, Okla., tornado disaster.  Additionally, The Mazda Foundation (USA), Inc., Board of Trustees approved a matching donation of $25,000 to the American Red Cross in support.

"The tornado that touched-down in Moore has had an unprecedented impact on those located far outside the actual impact area, including our own employees, dealers and customers," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, MNAO.  "Because of the heroic work the American Red Cross does on behalf of those in need, we are  honored to work with them to provide help to those who have been affected by the disaster." 


For those in the high impact areas who have an insurance claim of damage or loss to their current vehicle, MNAO is offering $500 cash towards the purchase of a new Mazda.  In addition, qualified customers have the option to defer their first payment for 90 days from the contract date on the purchase of any new Mazda financed under special financing offered by participating lenders.
In addition, Mazda Capital Services (MCS[1]) will waive late fees and insufficient funds fees for customers across Cleveland, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties.  This will give MCS customers until the end of business on Tuesday, June 4, to make a payment to bring their accounts current and avoid late fees and insufficient funds fees.  MCS customers who believe they are in an area that has been impacted by the tornado and who are having trouble making a car payment, want to confirm eligibility for the late fee or insufficient funds fee waiver, or have any questions, can call Mazda Capital Services at 1-866-984-7718 (loan customers) or 1-866-984-7716 (lease customers).

Get Streak-Free Windows!


Streak-free windows: Here's a simple trick to get your window's truly streak free. When you're cleaning the exterior of your windows wipe in an up-and-down motion. When cleaning the inside of the windows, wipe in a side-to-side motion. When you are finished, if there are any streaks, you'll be able to target them by knowing which side of the window they are on, depending on which direction the streaks go.

How to Clean Your Car Headlights


Do your car headlights look foggy? Sure, they didn't always look like that but have got worn out by dirt and grime over time. Follow this simple how to in order to restore your headlights back to their "shiney" status!

Instructions:


1. The first step is to apply some toothpaste on a dry cloth.
2.  Once the toothpaste is on the cloth, begin to rub the headlight cover with it until the grime comes off.
3.  Keep rubbing the toothpaste in circular motions until the grime breaks down all the way. After that proceed to rinse with water and wipe down with a wet cloth.

Dodge Charger—Eight Speeds to Go!


Back in 2012, Dodge Charger was the first in its class to offer an eight-speed automatic transmission. The rest of the category? They’re still struggling to catch up.

Standard on the Charger SXT and SXT Plus, optional on the Charger SE, the eight-speed automatic is coupled to an equally advanced engine, the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 292 hp and optional 300 hp. All powertrains are available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions.

Why eight speeds?

In a nutshell, the more advanced transmission permits the engine to operate in its most efficient rpm range for optimum performance and economy. The eight carefully calibrated gear ratios also enable minimum engine rpm at highway cruising speeds to maximize engine life, minimize fuel consumption, and reduce interior noise. At a steady 70 mph (where legal), the engine ticks along at a quiet, leisurely 1500 rpm, barely above idle. One of the many resulting benefits is an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 31 miles per gallon on the highway (RWD models). Imagine it: over 30 mpg in a comfortable, powerful, full-featured sedan. That’s performance. That’s efficiency.

For the ultimate in driving fun and flexibility, Charger SXT and SXT Plus buyers who opt for the Rallye Appearance Group, Wheels & Tunes Group, or Blacktop Package also receive steering-column-mounted paddle shifters and the Sport Mode feature. With Sport Mode selected, gear changes are firmer and shift points are held at a higher rpm for more spirited acceleration. For even greater command of the road, the driver can use the paddle shifters while viewing gear selections through the full-color Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) in the Charger’s instrument panel.
